NJA MAHDAOUI CATALOGUE RAISONNÉ
A catalogue raisonné of Nja Mahdaoui’s work will provide an invaluable scholarly resource for understanding his contribution to modern art and will invite us to revisit Mahdaoui's pioneering and singular approach to calligraphic abstraction.
It will document not only his complete body of work and artistic journey, but also the historical context of post-independence Tunisia and the artistic ferment of the Arab world in the 1960s and 1970s. In doing so, it will serve as both a living testimony to his oeuvre and an essential tool for art historians, curators, and collectors, as well as a comprehensive reference for future generations.
